Is there a way to configure your display in Debian? (off a knoppix HD install)
to add higher resloutions, etc. . .(besides doing XF86Config) ?
A program perhaps???

You can edit your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 by hand (this is my preferred method) or reconfigure your XFree86 deb package. I think it should be dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 but I'm not sure (running Gentoo on this box).
