Hello,

I am considering buying a Fuji FinePix S5600 Digital Camera, however:

1. I don't find this model in the gfoto list of supported cams
2. I don't find it either in Hubert Figuière's list of supported cams

I did find it however in a german-wiki list of Cams supported by (K)ubuntu

But I use Debian Etch so I don't know if this is sufficient information to order a cam, which might not work properly with my system.

Is there anyone who has this cam and can report on it or perhaps someone just knows a page where I could find further information.

Any help is more the welcome, thanks in advance...

looking at the fuji site myself it seems identical in listed support to my shitty S205S. as such it's got great support as it's just a bog standard USB drive as far as linux is concerned.

standard usb-drive would be alright for me, it is just that i don't want to spend the money just to find out that it's not...
