Is D-Link DFM-560E 56K v.90 modem compatiable with redhat 9.0?

The DFM-560E 56K v.90 external modem from D-Link should be compatible with Redhat 9.0 since it is external, but before I shell out some cash I would appreciate it if someone could tell me if they have tried it before with rh 9.0. Also, would I need any drivers for it? If so, can you please tell me were to get them from.

I did some googleing around but couldn't find anything about it being RH 9 compatible.

Thank you,
Faruque

I have recently installed Linux 9.0 in a AMD-PC.

Got confused when the system didn't find my modem, (External D-link DFM-560E).

Don't know if it would help to install drivers for my modem.

Anyway...
I can't find any driver for External modem D-link DFM-560E, at: http://hardware.redhat.com/hcl/

What i will do was that make sure Did linux recognize your usb controller correctly. You could go to Hardware Browser if you are using Red Hat Linux.
or type
scanpci | grep USB
in the terminal.
Then try to search the driver of your modem at www.linmodem.com
