Hello!
I have been written data to Memorex CD-R 700MB 48X media by TEAC R540E with 20X speed. This media can't be readed properly. The file of 6MB size is copied to PC during the 3 minutes using BTC BCD 24X CDROM and system writes:

irq timeout: status=0x58
ATAPI reset complete

Copying process takes the same time in MS Windows. Where is the problem?
-Is problem a Memorex media which is not designed for use ay 1X and 2X speeds?
-Is problem writing speed (20X)?
-Is problem BCD 24X CDROM?

I think that last is true because media is reading correctly by TEAC CDROMs. Have you any idea what can I do with BCD 24X CDROM? Some driver I think not to put its to waste

The problem is with ur bios settings.. u havent set teh proper transfer mode in the bios.. browse thru ur bios settings and try to find out the mode in which data is beng transfeerd.. it may be a prob with the pio mode try changing the mode in which data transfer is happening that might solv the prob
