Exclamation Ipod Shuffle plays no media after adding songs with rythmbox

My Ipod Shuffle mounts just fine, I can play songs off it in Rythmbox, and when I open it in my file browser there are lots of folders that show up (named f00 through f99) that contain all the songs I added. However, when I unmount the Ipod and plug headphones in to listen, the lights on the little bugger flash green and red for 2 seconds, indicating that there is "no music on unit." I have a 9 hour bus ride tomorrow and I need this thing to play music!

make sure the music you've added are in the right formats(like xx.mp3, xx.wma)
