Ipod In Linux 2.6.10


when i plug in my Ipod photo 40 gig in to my pc and do a dmesg looking for a /dev/ device so i can mount it all i get is this:

Hi.

I've seen things like when people are using the 'ub' driver.
Try removing Block Devices -> Low Performance USB Block Driver from your kernel config. (CONFIG_BLK_DEV_UB).

Have a look at this:

You might want to upgrade your kernel to 2.6.11, as all references I've found to the errors you're seeing are from 2.6.10 kernels.

well i cant unload the ehci_hcd module because i have it compiled directly in the kernel. secondly about upgrading my kernel, i use Gentoos Gentoo-Dev-Sources kernel's for my kernel and on portage the latist version is 2.6.10
