Iomega USB Zip 750 meg


What do I need to do to enable the USB 2.0 Zip drive to be picked up in Slackware 8.1, or generally for all Linux distro's????

Not tried yet so just quick run down will do me.

If I remeber correctly you will have to recompile the kernel to enable USB 2.0.
I remember it being an option that is disabled my default because it is still listed as being experimental.

What about if I just use USB 1.1

Anybody know what modules I need to enable and how to mount it i.e. what would the device name be etc????

Its sorted

Device was called sda4 and i needed to do a modprobe usb-storage to get it working.

Everything fine now
