Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

internal wifi adapter not recognized

I recently bought a gateway LT 4010u netbook made by Acer at walmart. I deleted all the default partitions and installed my favorite distrobution of puppy linux. I have done this before on a similar but somewhat older model acer, and all the network devices were immediately recognized, and the proper drivers automatically loaded. I checked the Manufacturers spec sheet, and It has an Aetheros HB 125 adapter which was working properly with windows 7 before I obliterated the factory install. I ran a LSPCI command which produced the following:
<a href="http://s135.beta.photobucket.com/user/machinist350/media/lspci.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q150/machinist350/lspci.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"/></a>
as you can see, this device does not appear to be recognized by the system at all. Is there any non intrusive way to try and re-establish the connection?

Have you got two wireless adapters in this system?

There is a Broadcom adapter

showing up. Is there some reason you do not want to use it?
