Intellimouse Explorer PS/2 troubles

I just installed Mandrake 10.0 and my mouse will not work, PERIOD. I have checked my /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file and the mouse settings appear to be correct. Also tried running XFdrake but that only allows me to change my video settings, which are not a problem.

When I boot up Mandrake, I get to the graphical interface just fine but my mouse will not do anything. None of the buttons work including the scroll button nor am I able to move the mouse cursor. I have verified that the mouse is working correctly on another computer.

Does anyone have any ideas? I have also done a search on these forums for similar problems and have tried all suggested solutions I have found here.

If more information is needed, let me know and I will provide for you.

Thanks,
Vince

Before I post my config file.

I noticed in the /etc/X11 directory, there is a XF86Config and an XF86Config-4 file. Which one do you need. I assume it is the first one without the -4 at the end.

Is that right??
