Intel SATA and Slackware 10.0
I have a Gigabiye GA-8I848P with Intel Breeds Hill i848P chipset, 82801EB ICH5 UATA Storage Controller, SATA150 AGPSet BIOS for 8I848P-g F2 Award bios, and
when i set sata to native mode from bios slack won't boot from the cd's nor hdd, it will hang at detecting ata controller but if i set mapping to IDE 0 or 1 that means PATA it works fine except windows will hang at certain installs(eg.DX9c,Hitman2). can i do something so slack will boot normally.
Soon i'm thinking of Mandrake so does Mandrake support SATA/150?
And an off the initial topic qn: I wan't to clarify something, what fs should i use EXT3/2 Reifesser or som' like that for linux 'cause on ext2 if the power goes down while linux is on , all my files are eronated.
