Unhappy intel pro/wireless mini pci card

hey guys,
I just joined the forum and it seems like a nice forum. I have a queston though. I am a new linux user and I have no clue how to fix my problem. I just got an intel pro/wireless mini pci card and installed it on my dell laptop. It works on windows xp but I dont know how to make it work on linux. I am running redhat 9 on the laptop too. I dont even know how to check if the card has been detected. can any one help? thanks!!
