Angry Intel D845BG problems

I have recently purchased an Intel D845BG motherboard with P4 1.6Ghz cpu and 256Mb DDR .
My RedHat 7.2 and Mandrake 8.1 run fine except for they dont switch off the pc.
I've tried everything from hatl to poweroff. I can't see anything in the BIOS.
Are there any drivers for this motherboard ???
Can someone please help me? I know this seems lazy but if the pc is supposed to do it then well .....

Thanks

Recompile the kernel and compile in "advanced power management" and "Use real mode apm bios calls to power off" and it will work like a dream -- at least it does for me.

B845BG woes

I have that same motherboard and I cannot get it to detect my PCI devices. I'm using RedHat 7.3 and I have upgraded my BIOS from Intel to the latest and greatest. My modem is PCI and so I can only run as a non-networked desktop.

Was your software able to detect the PCI slots?

Any reasons why my software might not be able to?

Thanks.
