Intel 82845G Not working?

Ive tried 5 distributions (ubuntu mandrake, fedora, knoppix, mepis) and none can get my videocard out of 640x480 resolution.

Ive tried using modelines in my file, ive tried changing refresh rates, remove the '640x480' entry.. but no luck..

is there anyway i can get this card working with a nice resolution in linux???
(The computer is a IBM Netvista 8303)

My videocard is:
Video Card : Intel Corporation 82845G/GL/GV/GE/PE Integrated Graphics Device

Try adding
Option "noaccel"
at the device section in your xorg.conf.
This did the trick for a i815 i have.

would 915resolution ( ) maybe fix the problem?
I know my videocard has a program with the video bios..
What do you guys think?
