intel video
I have the same integrated video but I did get VESA to work. I had to change the resolution down but it did work and I'm running RH7.1. Intel hasn't released drivers yet and I can't seem to find anyone else with this issue so as it stands, VESA is it. This is the only file entry I changed (pasted from Intel's site) and it worked for me: modify the /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file and change the driver line to:
Section "Device"
...
Driver "vesa"
...
EndSection
Good luck-

Also, if you poke around the Intel site you'll find that you can go into BIOS and change the video memory allocation from something like 1 mb to 8... I think is how it works. Some have mentioned better performance off of that.
This ones going to be a while, first there's going to have to be some rough changes to XFree and then a DRI kernel module, both of which are infants right now.
Cheers,
Finegan

I have a question
Ok, this is my first posting a reply in this forum but I need to ask two questions. First, I'm trying to find out what video card I have on my computer and the closest thing to it is Intel 82845g/gl chip. What is it? And if this isnt the video card, how do I find it on my computer? Any replies will be greatly welcomed. Thanks!!
