That's unfortunate :/. If you're really courageous and adventurous, you could get a screw driver and dig into your computer. Since you have no warranty, you don't have anything to worry about... except breaking something that is :P. If you do, I would check the wiring first. If all the wires are good, then I would take a look inside the screen and see if the camera bit looks suspicious. Bad crimp, a burn, etc.
If you're not feeling courageous, at least you have your USB webcam. Alex Brinister |
ahh
ok um remove that external webcam...we want nothing but your internal cam pls as you boot up, allegedly you press the function key and escape key 2) I assume you have no motherboard manual on this function stuff? 3) those images were fantastic and your bios is a shocker....sorry for doubting you would you consider migrating to a new flash version or a different bios? |
if you wanted to check for a flash update to your bios, there is more information required for models S10
eg http://support.lenovo.com/en_AU/guid...s/default.page there appears to be 7 models EDIT IF interested in coreboot to replace that super great bios, it depends on your chipset and allegedly yours is intel 945 and looks ok http://www.coreboot.org/Supported_Chipsets_and_Devices but will it enable your webcam? |
