Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Unhappy Integrated AGP issues - Matsonic MS7308E

Okay, right now I'll tell you that I have spent the last few days trying to figure out why my video convergence was going out of whack, and also I was getting vertical "bars" up and down my screen. That's all gone now, as I found out eventually (after the video card had died!) that it was the video card. Not having a spare, and having like, $4.00 to my name, I was a bit desperate, and swapped motherboards, since I had a spare that had integrated video. The manual says that it's integrated 128-bit AGP. I have it set to use the maximum (64 MB) shared RAM.

Now here's the funny part - Linux 2.6.18.2-34-default i686
Pentium III 735.01 Mhz
1 GB of PC133 RAM

I have a Screenshot8, depicting this exact output:
Display Info
Vendor: Silicon Integrated Systems Corp.
Model: SiS630 GUI Accelerator+3D
Driver: sis (No 3D Support)

Is there any way to get the 3D support enabled, just until I get my system back up to just under par like it was before all of this happened?

SIS graphics support in Linux is very, very limited.

I suggest stick with the better motherboard and buy a new video card if you do not want to get in a lot of problems from your desperate act.

I was planning on getting a new Video card (As well as a new motherboard) when I had the spare cash. Most of my parts, I get for free from places like Freecycle.org. I was just hoping for a quick fix until that couple of weeks that it'll take me to scrounge up the money.
