Installing Suse 10 on USB drive connected to Thinkpad Z60M
I have a problem to complete the installation of SUSE 10 on a USB drive connected to Thinkpad Z60M . I have partitioned the external USB disk then changed the BIOS settings to boot from CD then USB drive. The first CD ran O.K and as part of the installation the system booted after installing all the packages from CD 1 . It did not prompt for the second CD and the installation process did not complete.
The last few lines on the command screen are :
Waiting for device /dev/sdb2 to appear : scsi_id[9999]: Invalid page 0x80
scsi_id[1005]: 1:0:0:0: Invalid page 0x80
....input: PS/2 Generic Mouse on synaptics-pt/serio0
........resume device /dev/sdb2 not found (ignoring)
Loading jbd
Loading ext3
Waiting for device /dev/sdb3 to appear:...............not found -- exiting to /bin/sh
$
any help is welcome.
Regards
Alaa
