I have a PC with the following motherboard (ASUS TUSL-L)
I have a spare graphic card that I "inherited" from an other PC. It is a Nvidia FX 5200, 128 Mb.
Since it seems to me to be better than the integrated chip on the motherboard (4 Mb only, according to the following report that I obtained from AIDA software)
video adapter Intel(r) 82815 Graphics Controller (4 MB)
3D accelerator Intel i752
I would like to install my FX 5200.
I am moy used to making this kind of operations, so pardon me if my questions seem trifles.
Question 1) Am I right in saying that FX5200 is better than the integrated chip onmy motherboard?
Question 2) Once I insert my card in a PCI slot, will the BIOS switch the video output automatically or shall I make some BIOS setup operation manually
Question 3) If so, where can I find some detailed instruction? I did not find any user manual neither on the HP site nor on the ASUS one.
Thank you very much.
By the way: right now I don't have linux on the PC Iam speaking about. I want to install it,like I did on the old PC from which I am "extracting" my FX 5200 card. One of the reasons for which I want to install the FX 5200 is that i know it works perfectly under LINUX, while I don't know how does the integrated graphic card works under linux.
