Installing LAN card

I have installed Ver 9.0 but it is not recognizing my onboard SIS 900 Ethernet card, If I install new card PCI slot then it setups both the card on eth0, eth1 but gives same ip add to both interfaces. If I remove added LAN card then again it says adding LAN failed.

BIOS on board Ethenet is enabled

Please help

Well, you need to supply a little more information.

(1) What distribution are you using? More than one has a v9.0

(2) If you want to use the PCI NIC then you should disable the onboard NIC in your bios.

(3) How are you connecting to the internet to post on this forum now?

I have looked at your other posts, also, and you need to supply more information so that people can help you.

(1) Which distribution of Linux are you using? Did you install Slackware 9.0, RedHat 9.0, Mandrake 9.0, SuSE 9.0, etc. Which one of these have you installed?

(2) Where have you disabled the onboard NIC? You said in your first post "BIOS on board Ethenet is enabled." Have you disabled it in the BIOS since then? You will also need to remove that support from your kernel, but we must know the distribution to tell you where and how that can be done.

(3) Which NIC are you using to connect with in WinXP? Please give the manufacturer and model of your NIC.
