Installing Fedora Core 5 on HP Netserver LH3000

Hi Everyone Hopefully somebody will have some answers to this one.

I am a linux novice. I came across a Netserver LH3000 and I have been using it as a teamspeak server for my guild on wow. I was running FC4 and had very few problems. I recently had the urge to update to FC5 and I am unable to. When I begin the installation it will have trouble detecting the hard drive.

I know that there are 4 Hard drives in the front of the system and they are connected to an HP netraid card of some sort though I cannot find identification for the adapter. I did however see the phrase "Adaptec AIC 7880". I believe that is another(?) scsi adapter.

During the section directly follwoing the media test...I am given the option to slect the driver for the hard drive because it was not automatically loaded. I have tried selecting the Adaptec 7xxx driver but it did not work.

What am I doing wrong? It worked smoothly when installing FC4 and now I have a huge dead box until I can finish the upgrade.

Update

I have updated all my bios and firmware versions to the newest sones available and spoken with customer support extensively.

It turns out I need a 3rd party SCSI driver for my distro to correctly identify the Hard drive array. Does anyone know how to do this.

I need a 3rd party HP Netraid integrated controller driver.

Bump
