I'm a newbie and spent all day installing & configuring the printer drivers and I can now print. Now I need help installing a Brother MFC-6890CW (printer)/Scanner on Linux Lite 1.08 (Ubuntu 12.04 - Debian)?
I've been trying to follow the instructions at
http://support.brother.com/g/s/id/li...ll&redirect=on
I believe I am OK until I get to STEP 5 when I try to do the following command:
brsaneconfig3 -a name=SCANNER model=MFC-6890CDW lp=192.168.0.197
I get the ERROR - "Invalid IP address or NODENAME"
The IP address of the device is 192.168.0.197 so what am I doing wrong???
Below is a snippet of the install process from the terminal window...
root@HP6720s-laptop:/home/n7tek/Downloads# dpkg -i --force-all brscan-skey-0.2.4-1.i386.deb
