installing 2 video cards

I was wondering if it was possible to run multiple video cards with Linux.
I'm running RHEL 3 on a Dell Optiplex 740. Currently I'm running dual monitors from a DVI video card with a video splitter. I would like to add an additional video card to display a thrid monitor.

Is this possible? And if so, where can I find information on setting this up?

Sure, here is a working copy of xorg.conf that support three monitors, a dualhead NVidia card and an old PCI ATI card for a 3rd monitor.
