Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Hi there...

This is so difficult to do unless the distro is installed to harddrive, since you need to decompress all lzm files and then set kernel config and (re)compile it. This is because running kernel for backtrack is too old, you need at least kernel 2.6.25 or higher.

It is better for you to download current version of backtrack.

Since BT4 use kernel 2.6.28.1, I think Intel 5100 (iwlagn) will work without patching, firmware or driver installation.

somebody please CMIIW.
