install script ?? How to use? '2.4.25-libata10.patch'


Hi Guys,
I found this scrip that should install driver/support for SATA:
www .kernel.org/pub/linux/ker...ata10.patch.bz2 (sorry cannot post a link)

But I don't know how to use it! Hope somebody can help me, please ?

FYI the scrip looks like the parts below. Some docbook stuff and some code. But I have no idea what to do:

head 2.4.25-libata10.patch:

hi there

go to ur kernel source and install the patch

like i install my patch patch-2.6.9 for my kernel 2.6.9-rc2 like this in my kernel source directory

patch -p1 < patch-2.6.9-rc2
