Red face install RAID for sun storage 6GB SAS PCle RAID HBA internal

i have 2 sun x4170 M2 servers that will be installed oracle enterprise Linux 5.5. I configured the RAID using ctrl + H (webios) and i have a working optimal RAID 1 configuration. But when i try to install the OS Can't Seem to find the hard disk to select. I figured that it might be missing the RAID drivers and i don't know how to make boot-able floppy disks and how can i tell the OS to install the drivers from the floppy. Please respond asap.

did you check SUN/Oracle website for specific drivers?

You are trying to install Oracle software (OEL 5.x) on Oracle/SUN hardware, why don't you contact Oracle support?

Wink

i figured it out. All you have to do download the driver and tools for the x4170 M2 and burn it as an image file and boot up your server using OEL 5.5 cd 1 and when the boot menu comes choose F2 then type linux dd so that a dialog box appears and you can enter your cd and install the drivers and continue the installation.

10ks man for you response
