install Intel video driver in Redhat 8

I installed Redhat 8 in a computer with Intel D845 motherboard with video built in. The video is scrambled in KDE desktop. I downloaded the Intel Linux video driver from Intel support website. The instructions are incomplete.

Is there a source that tells how to install third party video drivers in Linux?

You need to upgrade to XFree86 to 4.30 (released feb 28, 2003)

Try the following address for the documentation: http://xfree86.org/4.3.0
and download the latest binaries for Linux at: http://archive.progeny.com/XFree86/4.3.0/binaries and download all the binaries found in the directory Linux-ix86-glibc23

It fixed my video problems right away. I'm still trying to get my audio working though...

Xinstall.sh

I tried to run the Xinstall.sh script to begin upgrading to XFree86 4.30. The error message said to exit X Window. How do I exit X Window? It boots automatically to Gnome desktop.

Change to the second terminal with <Ctrl><Alt><F2>, log in as root and do "telinit 3", this will stop the x server.
