Install foomatic ppd with openprinting.org down

Hi,
I've just received a new printer, a Brother HL-2035. I want to install it using the foomatic driver (I can't use the official Brother driver anyway because I'm on an ARM system) in CUPS but I had no luck so far.
The CUPS wizard for adding a new printer return an error after selecting the driver (foomatic/hl1250) and I believe this is due to the fact that openprinting.org is down for maintenance and so CUPS can't download the right ppd file.
I'm saying this also because I've searched any Debian package regarding foomatic, but everything that comes with the system is a list of hardware and ways to download ppds from openprinting.
Now: since openprinting will be closed for almost all October, how can I download the ppd for my printer? Anyone here have one installed already and can give it to me?

Do you prefer to use the stuff from openprinting.org rather than the driver that Brother provides for the HL-2030/HL-2035
on Debian Linux here:

http://welcome.solutions.brother.com...n.html#HL-2035

or did the stuff from Brother not work for you?

The Brother one doesn't work for me since it's for i386 while I have an armel system. But never mind, I've just updated the whole system, CUPS, and the printer is installed just fine now. I don't know what didn't work before, but it's ok now. Maybe everything it needed was a reboot.

Glad to see you have the problem [Solved]. As the OP you can use the Thread Tools to mark the Thread as [SOLVED] when you are certain questions have been answered. Sure, a mod can do this but you should be the one to decide the solution(s) have been provided.
