Input/Output Error

Hi Everyone!

I have a Cache-A LTO-4 tape drive and I'm getting an input/output error when I run the following command: time tar -xvf /dev/nst0 -b 256.

Any ideas on how I can get around this error?

Also, here's the exact error I'm getting:

tar: /dev/nst0: cannot read: Input/Output error

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
