Infrared MA660

Hi, i need some help. I'm a newbie in Linux.
I want to use MA660 USB Irda dongle at Fedora Core 3.
I found an article using MA620, first i thought that it was the same because MA620 also using USB. The script was :

  modprobe pl2303
  modprobe irda
  echo 9600 > /proc/sys/net/irda/max_baud_rate
  modprobe irtty-sir
  modprobe ma600-sir
  modprobe ircomm-tty
  irattach /dev/usb/ttyUSB0 -d ma600 -s

I've tried all the commands, and it runs correctly. But when i type the last command (irattach /dev/usb/ttyUSB0 -d ma600 -s) it results error. The error message said that there is no ttyUSB0. I've checked /dev/usb/ and there was no ttyUSB0. The folder only contains lp0 (i don't know what is this).
Can someone show me how to install MA660?

Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm having the exact same problem too!
Actually, my dongle is apparently the ES620, but a quick search reveals that it is exactly the same as the MA620. I think i found the website you that you got the script off, was it:

Anyway, help would be VERY much appreciated, this is very annoying!

Have you found any solutions? Yes, this problem is very annoying..

Nope, haven't found a solution as of yet...

All I really know about the problem is that the MA620 is a usb-serial adapter/converter combined with a serial irda device, so it requires some special drivers, etc.

Yeah, i've tried to find the driver for MA660. But still can't find any.
Wew, i really need that driver...

If i'm going to use MA620 do i still need to find the driver for linux? Or i can directly use it in fedora? Right now i'm really confused, i don't know what to do

I don't reckon you need a specific driver, just some generic ones for usb-serial adapters and usb-IrDA dongles.
