inexpensive rack mounted servers


Ideas - where could i find 1-2 years old used/refurbished rack mounted servers?

my target is 4 core (i.e. dual proc dual core ht optional) 4GB RAM 300GB HD 32-bit cpu for < $1000

I would suggest contacting hosting companies, or any other company like that which will have a high turnover rate for servers. I take it you aren't looking to use these for anything important?

Thanks - good idea.

I actually do plan to use them for something important, however, even if the probability of any one on them blowing up at any moment is higher than average, the likelihood of many of them going down at them same time is low.
