iGrabber USB Video Capture Device under Linux (Xubuntu/CrunchBang)

Good afternoon,

I have just received a package in the mail; the package contains an iGrabber USB Video Capture Device which I purchased a few days ago on Amazon.

I am wondering whether it is possible to capture video using this device using a computer running Xubuntu (soon to be CrunchBang) via Kino.

Any suggestions or comments are very much appreciated.

Regards,

This may be a start. http://www.geniatech.com/download.asp

If you find out the chip inside then you would want to search for that chip and linux usually. A chip is what you want to support not a brand name product. Many products may contain the same chip so other products may have been figured out based on the internal chip.

Many belated thanks for the help.

The iGrabber turned out to be a very poorly designed product; I have found an alternative solution which I will be using to transfer VHS tapes.
