ide-scsi emulation
in grub, using redhat 8.0 i wrote the line:
hdc=ide-scsi hdd=ide-scsi
so that linux would think of both devices as scsi, even though they might not be. The hdc is being recognized as one, but hdd isn't. also i am having trouble mounting, unmounting them, sometimes they get stuck sitting on the desktop and not being refreshed after i change the disk. I am trying to emulate ide-scsi for vmware, so that i could run windows inside of linux. please tell me what am i doing wrong? appreciate any help.
