ide-scsi /dev/scd0 doesn't exist

Hi all !

I recompiled my kernel in order to enable ide-scsi support, I change my fstab /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 to /dev/scd0
but /dev/scd0 doesn't exist, I tried with sr0 but nothing.
I didn't find in /dev cdr om or scd0 or sr0

Ho do I do to create scd0 ?

regards,

Did you put hdX=ide-scsi into your bootloader? hdX, by the way, should be whatever your device's IDE device name is...

As an example, my cd burner has an IDE device name of /dev/hde, so I enable ide-scsi support and edit my lilo.conf file, add hde=ide-scai to the append section, reload lilo (type lilo as root) and reboot.

I hope that makes sense.
