IDE controller card not working {Delock 70098} [Kubuntu 9.04]

Hi there, I have a server with several drives that are IDE. I have recently upgraded this server to a newer one and now I need a IDE controller card.

My current kernel is; 2.6.28-15-generic
My current distro is Kubuntu 9.04

I have installed a card, Delock Controller UDMA 133 Raid, product number is 70098.

A link to the card; http://delock.com/produkte/suche/Del...aid_70098.html

Here is a link to the chipset website; http://www.siliconimage.com/products/product.aspx?id=31

It says it will work with Linux, but it does not work out of the box.

The 3 drives I have connected to the card are non bootable drives, they are just storage slaves.

Also, I wont be using and RAID configuration.

I have another controller card in this machine. Its a Promise SATA 300 card, but I don't have anymore info on that. There are currently no drives connected to it so I don't know if its working or not.

Here is an output of lspci

Code:
00:00.0 RAM memory: nVidia Corporation MCP61 LPC Bridge (rev a1)
00:01.0 ISA bridge: nVidia Corporation MCP61 LPC Bridge (rev a2)
