IBM Thinkpad Lenovo T61 dial-up modem issues
Hi,
I have been charged with the task of making the dial-up modem work in my boss's IBM Thinkpad T61. I have followed various walk-throughs to detect and install software to enable the device, but to no avail. I've even gone so far as to compile one solution from source. I was wondering if anyone has found a solution to this problem. OS: Ubuntu 8.04, kernel 2.6.24-17-generic Thanks in advance for any advice that can be offered. |
Do you have CONFIG_PPP and CONFIG_PPP_DEFLATE enabled in your kernel?
<*> PPP (point-to-point protocol) support <*> PPP support for async serial ports <*> PPP support for sync tty ports <*> PPP Deflate compression what does lspci -v look like? |
