I cannot either get to the BIOS pressing any combination of buttons, but there IS a method to get to it. Whenever you change your system Hardware, i.e. add RAM memory, o take some out, you get an error message at the boot, process telling you to Save the new configuration. Once you get that message, continue the blue screen and that is your BIOS. I only tested this on IBM NetVista (Pentium III). It does work, its surely not the best solution but it works, once in the BIOS, you can configure nearly everything, including if you want your PC on at an specific periodic time... and of course manage Boot Options. Once you´ve done it. You can put all your Hardware as it was before and (if you saved your configuration, I hope that´s what you did)you´ll get again the error message and back again to the BIOS.
Hope this helps somebody, although it doesn´t use any Linux (or Windows) software ^^.
