IBM CPi D300XT and cs4232 sound

I don't understand why it takes *SO* much effort to get this sound card module to work....

i have another laptop with the same card and after messing with it for a long time, I just gave up.....

what do i need to do? I already found some text that I inserted into my /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base file...it came from the web and it didnt help....

actually debian says, upon boot that the cs4232 driver is blacklisted....what's that mean?

What is your hardware / sortware ?
do you read howtos ?
did you try to search on googleto to find why the howto dosent apply to your system ?
what about the HCL ( http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/index.php )?
