IBM 2113 monitor & ATI Rage Pro AGP =>no 1024x768

Slackware 10.1 (plain vanilla full install)
kernel 2.4.29
ATI rage pro AGP 2x
IBM 2113-001 monitor

I can get 800x600x16m res, but the monitor boasts 1024x768x16m
not interlaced properly

search for IBM 2113-001, look for ibm in url...

don't know how to configure properly,
and what files... must do manual config...

thanx in advance..

p.s. - LONG LIVE THE COMMAND LINE!

The way I got round the screen res problem (different card and monitor but same symptom) was to remove the lines referring to vertical and horizontal refresh rates from /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

Hope that helps.

still looks to be an interlace problem, the online specs say that
1024x768x16m is interlaced, but smaller res are not. This does
not seem to be detected by the kernel or X.

I got the same problem in Windoze, but no longer use it...

xf86config is not found on my system, or I would use it.
That's why the manual config... among other reasons...
