Question i865G on ubuntu breezy

I'd like to install the Intel i865V driver cause X.org's i810 driver doesn't provide hardware acceleration.

I downloaded the driver (i915) and it fails on installation:

Code:
DIRECT RENDERING OPEN SOURCE PROJECT - DRIVER INSTALLATION SCRIPT

==========================================================================

The script will now compile the agpgart module and DRM kernel modules
for your machine.

Press ENTER to continue or CTRL-C to exit.

Compiling new agpgart module...

ERROR: AGPGART module did not compile

Compiling DRM module...

ERROR: Kernel modules did not compile

The DRI drivers can not be installed without the latest kernel modules.
Installation will be aborted. See the dri.log file for information on
what went wrong.
And in the log, there are errors like:
Code:
backend.c:69: conflicting type for 'agp_backend_require'
include/linux/agp_backend.h:105: previous declaration of 'agp_backend_require' was here
.
.
.
And endless other mistakes.

What am I doing wrong?

PS Oh, forgot to say I'm working on a ubuntu breezy.

Code:
# uname -a
Linux aitdes-03 2.6.12-10-686-smp #1 SMP Fri Nov 18 12:27:41 UTC 2005 i686 GNU/Linux
