This error message always come on my machine when i try to type something. Yes. Your disk (SATA or SCSI) is bad.
You may try to mark the defective blocks using "fsck -cc". You need to boot the machine in single user mode, or by a CD live if the partition with bad blocks is /boot or /. This process may take hours to finish. I mean, dozen of hours. And there are chances the problem is not in the disk surface itself. In this case the problem will show up again. |
