Have you looked at inb and outb (and related mechanisms for other data sizes, such as inl and outl)?

sorry, about my simple question.
i am new to linux. :p
where can i find these functions?
in gcc or ... ?
is there any role for using them?
we have some restriction for using such functions in Windows 2000.
thanks

"role for using them"? I'm not sure I understand. I high recommend the man page for inb and outb. http://www.die.net/doc/linux/man/man2/inb.2.html
