I need calibration software o start touch screen under UBUNTU
 

Hello,

I have to start touch-screen display under UBUNTU 10. The "Click" and "DblClick" works fine, but the mouse pionter is about the top left corner and moves the oposite direction while dragging.
I think there must be some calibration software. Can anyone help me?
My display is CML-170 from NexView, Korea.

Have you tried reversing the mouse orientation from right handed to left handed?

If it is moving the wrong way (I'd think) it has nothing to do with the cal program. I'd look to see some issue with orientation or direction maybe on some jumpers inside the monitor or other settings. The jumpers is how we used to have to set older screens. I get the feeling that the newer ones were some setting on the menu.

In fact, I'm new in touch screens. But Kiosk masters told me every time they start touch screen the touch must be calibrated. Small calibration program asks to touch 3 or 4 times the exact positions on the screen. Then this program stores values in driver and touch works fine. Before calibration my situation is the right one.
But they use only windows, not linux.
I think the procedure must be similar.

There used to be only one company that made the touchscreen. Well, two but the other never seemed to show up in any devices.

All touch screens have a cal program that I have seen. Yes, some combo of points and touches will create a file. That file is later used in the man machine interface that your OS uses.

That still has nothing to do with direction in my opinion. When touch screens are off or out of cal they simply don't put the cursor in the spot as your finger. It will follow in the correct direction in all cases that I have ever seen.

There are cal programs somewhere for QNX, Dos, windows, linux. If you can't get the company that made the monitor then get the company that made the touchscreen part to give you some tips or apps to cal it.
