I need a TV receiver card (Brand name?) for Core2 Quad i386 HP Desktop PC. Running Ubuntu 9.01.
Lost my previous thread question when I checked for similar postings.
Is there a particular graphics card that is useful and applicable for TV receiver work?
I would appreciate very much some brand names and/or specs. suggestions. Thank you in advance, mbille46
Assuming digital (US local) you may want to think a little out of the box. The HDHomerun is a dual tuner external box that connects via Ethernet. Any computer on your network can use it. It works OTA and with unencrypted QAM(digital cable). MythTV and most other PVR software is fully supported. You can also watch it like any other stream(VLC,Mplayer, etc).
