it is a NWZ-E436FRED
http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/...52921665524076 --the RED is there because its red sony makes a distiction on website but the model is probably just NWZ-E436F-- i got this device out of boredom and lack of mp3..... after playing for a while i got it mounted....yay...put a mp3--ripped with rippit and LAME-- on it unmounted to test its ability to play..it plays.. so as i was listening to it test play i tried to install elisa to convert my AMV --Anime music videos-- to one of its playable formats elisa requires 3dacceleration so i tossed in the nvidia package and rebooted.... now it won't mount!!!!!
my comp is Debian 5.0 lenny(stable) the way i had gotten it to mount was something in the scsi synaptic search--i can't remember WHICH module it was and that is part of problem-- but i didn't reboot after installing that module and it didn't work again after reboot so after tring to get it to work i remembered that the only 2 things i did to break it was reboot and install nvidia-glx; version 173.14.09-5 synaptic repository after removing that i removed all other scsi programs i installed but that didn't work.....reinstalled them again....rebooted and retried after each..... i don't know where i went wrong.... does anyone here know
reason for scsi was gnome-device-manager -via synaptic repository- said it was a scsi device
i just don't know what i did!!!!!!!! help me plz
curiouser and curiouser there is a clock function on the device.... i can't manually set it.... could that be what prevents the mounting?.... my computer not sending clock info?????
