I don't see my WiFi NIC with ifconfig, but I do on lspci.

Hi guys, I have a problem, I don't see my WiFi NIC on ifconfig nor iwconfig
I'm using a rather obscure Linux distro based on Debian (it's Cubes OS).
When I go run lspci, I see this:

00.01.0 Network Controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller (rev 01).

That's my internal WiFi NIC.

So, my question is: how can I install the device? I assume the problem is that the drivers are not installed, is that correct?

Thank you!

Lspci would show devices that are reported by pci bus chips.

To get that device working you can do one of three things if not already in your system.

One is to have kernel support for device.
Two is to add driver outside of kernel.
Three is to use windows drivers.

Sort of a forth is that some driver may be trying to use it and you'd have to blacklist the wrong one.

I don't know about Cube and who built the kernel. I do know that broadcom has a lot of issues for such a popular chipset.

See this.
