i cannot get my sound card to work.

is there any command that could help configure my soundcard?

thanx guys, it works, but i get loud static on even the small settings.

Open up a mixer and check IEC9580 and PCM I have PCM on and IEC9580 off,play with the settings,if you use alsamixer use the arrow keys to go right and left and up and down to raise and lower the settings,or another mixer,if you get it to work as root
