I added an Ahome DVD RW to my computer. Fedora 6 cannot see media in it
Yesterday I had a good CD R/W drive as master (hdc) on my desktop running Fedora 6. I added a repaired AHome DVD R/W drive which used to operate in this installation. Apparently that messed up the ATAPI configuration. I attempted first to add the DVD drive as master, while switching the CD drive to slave. Nothing worked. So I switched the CD drive back to master, and put the DVD drive in as slave. Now the CD drive partially works. I just successfully backed up our data with it, but it will no longer play music. Fedora sees the DVD drive as hdd, but it cannot see media in the drive.
I haven't figured out where the configuration files are. There must be a driver for the DVD, since it used to operate on this system.
Can anyone offer a suggestion?
