I'm building a new computer: is this hardware reported to work with linux?

Hi!

I'm building a new computer for myself, and here is the hardware list that I am planning on buying. Are there any components (or combination of them) on this list not supported by linux? Mostly worried about the mobo of course (CPU is OK I guess, RAM should not be a problem, neither should the HDD nor gfx-card), and after googling a bit around, I found that some ppl have had problems with snd/networking. But it seems all problems were resolved by upgrading kernel... Despite of this I just wanted to hear what you think

So, does anyone see any problems here, or is it all fine?

Mobo: Asus M2N-MX, nForce410+GeForce 6100,
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.4GHz Socket AM2,
RAM: 2 x Corsair Value S. PC5300 DDR2 1024MB (kit w/2 sticks) => total of 2GB RAM
Gfx-card: Gainward GeForce 7300GT 256MB DDR2,
HDD: Samsung SpinPoint P80SD 80GB SATA2

Thank you very much in advance (and of course, if you have any other comments/suggestions concerning this, please, tell me )

I don't have any of this hardware, but have you checked out the HCL here at LQ.org?

Yup, for once I remembered to do it before posting

Well, there are several M2N boards, but all of them differ a little from my (future) mobo (M2NPV-VM, M2N-SLI Deluxe, M2N-E are listed at HCL - but no M2N-MX). From what I can see though, all the reviews for those above-mentioned boards are positive, so it looks good

You might also google the actual chipsets to see how well they are supported.

EDIT: Oops, looks like you already did that!

Hay MOTW, how did it go with that MB? I just ordered the same setup. Did you have any issues?
