Hey,
I'm having the same trouble on my RH9 version. I just tried install ALSA today but, alas, it did not work. I kept getting error messages about 'unresolved symbol schedule_work' and thinks like 'insmod snd-intel8x0 failed'. I also have the same problem when trying to run alsamixer, so if I find an answer I'll let you know. You didn't happen to run across any errors similar to the ones mentioned above when you installed ALSA on your RH9 system, did you? Thanks, Bret |
yeah... i was using version 0.9.8

did you first run 'alsaconf' as root? the error message says it can't find a card to use. after running 'alsaconf' you should be able run alsamixer.
