Hyper Threading

Are Hyper Threading and Hyper Transport basically the same thing?

no. they don't have anything to do with each other.
hyper transport is a bus technology. maybe a protocol. i don't know much about it.

hyper threading is intel's thing. making a chip look like more than one cpu and
having it run multiple threads at the same time.
